Many exhibitors at this year's BETT are moving towards offering access to their ICT resources and technologies at home and in schools, creating the potential for greater communication between teachers, parents/guardians and pupils. As education moves towards being a more flexible, personalised experience for students, home access to e-learning is becoming increasingly important. Children spend just 15 per cent of their lives inside the classroom so the potential for extending the learning experience outside the traditional school day is considerable and is proven to deliver results. One such example was demonstrated by the BBC. Creating a brand new learning experience for five to 16 year olds the BBC Jam resources are aimed at bringing fun and supportive learning tools to children across the breadth of child's life not just in the school environment but at home as well.
